Is he secretly hoping plans change?

Hi guys, just looking for a little insight. I’ll try and make this quick. My due date is aug 4th and my current lease is up may 29th. My boyfriend has been studying like crazy for his real estate license. I asked him months ago what he wanted to do about the move. He said he didn’t really care and it’s up to me. I said okay and I decided to look at some places that were bigger and nicer and in our price range. I sent him videos of the places. When I came home we talked about it and he said looked good, he’ll leave it up to me to decide. Today I got the call for one of the units coming available June 4th. I jumped on it and went to put in an application. When I came home he was upset and said we have no communication he wanted to see it. And he wanted to look for something nicer outside of our price range. He was clearly upset. I didn’t bother to come home and tell him I was doing an application because he was studying and he already said I could decide.

I obviously don’t think it’s a good idea to go out of the price range because we have a baby coming soon. I also don’t want to wait last minute and ended up moving when I’m due to deliver. He also has a back up plan of moving to Ohio if we weren’t to find something in Colorado where we live. I feel like maybe he’s deep down hoping we don’t find something last minute so we can move to Ohio with his mom?
