So I have three sets of parents (long story) plus my in laws....

My husband and I are talking about having a third child and I’ve sought advice from my moms. Unfortunately the response has not been great.

I know it’s really none of their business but I’m genuinely bothered by their reactions. When we had the first two everyone was so happy and the energy was so great. But bringing up a third child made me feel like I was in high school telling my parents I was pregnant.

When having kids, I want everyone to be excited and I don’t want to have other peoples negative energy making me doubt myself.

My husband just keeps telling me it’s OUR family and has nothing to do with them. But I know their concern comes from their own experiences so I don’t want to dismiss it.

I guess there’s not much advice to be given in this situation I just needed to write it down and hopefully make myself feel better.
