Night Away From Baby?!

Question

How many of you have spent a night away from baby? My son is almost 18months and it’s not even fathomable in my mind to be with out him! Am I paranoid?

I’m due with #2 in May and the night I give birth will be my first night away from him 😭 I’m already so anxious about being away from him. More anxious about that than I am about giving birth again lol

I’m on a girls’ trip right now and it is SO NEEDED but I MISS MY BABIES!!! We are better moms when we get a break tho that’s for sure 👌💯

Our daughter is 17 month and I have not spent a night away or not put her down for bed. But all our kids are big mama babies. Also, do to covid, no babysitters (in-laws ) over to watch the kids for date nights.... really starting to get worried for when I give birth this summer.

I spent the first 95 nights she was in NICU sleeping away from her. The last few I was rooming in. Since then though? Not a single one. I have severe anxiety over separation with her, which is trauma based and centres around medical emergencies I’ve seen her have.

I had to one night to go to my sisters bachelorette party that was less than an hour from home and it was terrible!! That was in March 2020 and I haven’t since and no plans to any time soon! My husband and I think that covid/lockdowns/being home all the time isn’t helping the attachment issues we have but I’m okay with it lol

I want to guess maybe 14ish. I was in the hospital last week for a few days and then other nights where we just needed a good nights sleep. Our guy doesn’t sleep through the night yet. My parents and my husbands parents both live in the same town so we have baby sitters close by. It’s definitely okay to take a night or two for yourself!

Not yet but mostly due to COVID and living far away from family and friends. We said we weren't going to be that couple who stopped dating once we had a baby, but here we are a year into lockdown 😂 It was honestly a nice excuse to not have to make that call. we deserve it but it's so hard to trust anyone else!

I have never spent a night away from my child, who is 20 months.  But like another poster said, I am due with baby 2 in August and I am having a c section so I am gong to have to be away from him for a few days.  I am very nervous and anxious about it.  I’ve been thinking about it non stop since I found out o was pregnant again.
But after this, it will be a super long time before I will feel comfortable being apart from either of my kids.  I just don’t trust anyone to owe them as safe as I can.  Well, except for their dad of course:

I let my son stay at my moms for a night when he was 19 months, it was fine but I woke up at 7 and went to get him lol

I’m willing to do one night if she’s with my parents or sister. And it would be much needed, yes.
