So my boyfriend and I went to my parents for Thanksgiving and it had been the first time he had met them and not only a few days before they had found out he was here. Long story short, he wasn't supposed to be with me. Anyways his parents made plans for us to go to his parents house for x mas. My parents believe that I shouldn't go because I would be in a new state with no one that I know of and also with a family I had just met. My boyfriend is mad and angry that I can't go and thinks that because I'm 18 I can make my own decisions. I had just turn eighteen and still believe even though I am a legal adult I should still listen to my parents to some regard. What's your opinion?
