Hi everyone,

So I had my first appointment today after getting a positive test last week. It all feels so surreal since my daughter is 12 and I thought it would take much longer to conceive. My first appointment was a little odd since they didn’t even confirm pregnancy and just did a swab to check for vaginal infection. I also got a list of all the things I am at risk for and now I’m terrified. I was so looking forward to getting confirmation that everything was okay today and instead I am a wreck. I also have a PFO which is a hole in my heart which puts me at higher risk for a stroke so I’m meeting with a high risk doc after 12 weeks but have to wait to see how far I am since the OB guessed based on last period which was 1/25. I did tell her I had bleeding for a day on 2/23 and thought that was my period and she said it was implantation. Basically I’m just worried and didn’t know who else to chat with. Thank you.
