Hi Ladies,

I’m quite concerned. A couple weeks ago I was in the hospital for a UTI and while there they preformed a standard pregnancy test. The test came back inconclusive twice and when they finally sent it to the lab it came back negative. They told me it was likely due to the AZO I was taking for the UTI. I assumed these tests were accurate even in extremely early pregnancy so I wasn’t concerned. Fast forward a week and I took another pregnancy test just to be sure, because I knew I was going to be drinking. I went on my 6 day trip to Florida with my friends and I drank lightly the entire time I was there and heavily at least one day. I got home a few days ago and my symptoms were getting increasingly worse (nausea, tender breasts, and other things that aren’t standard for my period) I took a pregnancy test and there was an EXTREMELY faint line. Barely even visible. I’m not even sure if it was just me looking so hard at the test I could slightly see the line through the material.

I guess my question is have any other ladies experienced this type of situation? Gotten pregnant and realized you had been drinking? If so, did you have a normal pregnancy and birth despite drinking in the early stages? Any advice or anything that can ease my mind would help, I’m not sure I’m going to be able to think straight until I confirm a neg. or positive test.

Please refrain from judgement. My partner and I weren’t/aren’t trying to conceive and if I even thought I was pregnant for a minute I wouldn’t have drank.
