NYU fertility success?

Hi all,
I’ve been going to NYU Langone for fertility treatments because they take my insurance. I’m currently on my second IUI and my doctor is already having me schedule IVF if 3 rounds fail. Deciding on IVF right after or holding off.
I’d love to hear any feedback from patients there. We’ve been ttc for 1 year and unexplained infertility.

From what I understand if IUI doesn’t work after 5 or 6 times it is statistically unlikely to work for you.  I did that many IUI before moving on to IVF.  
My first cycle of IVF at NYU our specimens (eggs/embryos) were contaminated which is a very small, but very real possibility.  There is no fault here because it cannot be determined if the contamination is from your own body or the lab.  It’s just something that can happen.  Mind you, there is no refund for this.  
For the next cycle I took antibiotics, they also did ICSI, and had no issues.  We got several embryos and sent them for genetic testing to reduce risk of miscarriage.  This meant they were frozen so when the time came we did a Frozen Embryo Transfer.  It was successful and we have a healthy 17 month old boy.  
We just did our second transfer at NYU for a girl this time.  My bloodwork and body shows I’m pregnant, but waiting for the confirmation sonogram to make sure all is well.  So far it looks like another success.  
I’m a fan of NYU Fertility, their system worked for me and god willing we will return for our 3rd and 4th babies in the coming years.  
How it worked out is we had 20 eggs, 12 of which fertilized with the sperm, 9 of which survived until 5th day, and 4 of which were viable embryos after testing.  So we have used 2 out of 4 so far.

I’ve since switched clinics and very happy I did. I wasn’t getting answers from NYU and am having additional tests run at my new clinic, where I feel much more comfortable with my doctor.

im there now. i have a polyp which explains why were having trouble. so waiting for next steps. after hubby gives sample saturday. they move fast and efficient. they do a lot of tests
