I've always struggled with breastfeeding. With our 1st son my milk never came in and at 2 1/2 weeks I was totally dry. I never experienced engorgement or anything like that. I was devastated. With our 2nd I retained placenta after his birth and didn't find out until 7 weeks. I wasn't able to breastfeed him while I was on the medication to get it out and I was never able to recover my supply. I made it 2 1/2 months with him. I had my best luck with our 3rd. I had very painful let down for months. I made it 7 months with him. But after he bit me twice I waa ready to be done. Athena will be 5 months old on the 8th and I am calling it. Breastfeeding feels like tiny needles shooting through my nipples. She has a great latch. Even pumping is painful. And I am ready to be done. I've slowly been backing down over the last week. And I've started bottle feeding her also so that she is more comfortable taking a bottle from me. I am proud of myself and what I've accomplished! I'm proud of my body 💗
