Why am I attracted to older men?

I've always liked older men. My bf of 5.5 years  is 15 years older than me but when I met him and started dating I did not know he was that old I thought he was 10 years younger than he was. But it didn't bother me. We get along well and you would never even know there is an age difference. But sometimes even in my dreams I dream of men and they're older too and I'm attracted to them. It has nothing to do with financial stability or anything like that. I just find im attracted to a well seasoned knowledgeable man who looks aged even in my dreams. Why is that?
I will add they're not super old men, not like 50s or 60s. Just in their 40s. Im 27

My partner is 18 years older than me, nothing wrong with it I have the best relationship with him. As long as it is legal then it’s fine.

So,
I was in the same boat for a while. Still am to an extent (attraction wise). There’s nothing wrong with being attracted to an older man, just like there is nothing wrong with being attracted to an older woman.
Some people try to say it’s because a woman has issues with her father. There has never been research to prove this being accurate, and many psychologists don’t believe in it either.
My second boyfriend was 32 and I was 21. My third was 37 and I was 23. I’ve been attracted to men in their 40s and 50s too. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 
I don’t know if there is a specific reason why. I’ve read that it’s because we mentally associate older men with being more stable, well-off, and more ready to be in a relationship. Compared to some younger guys who like to kind of mess around. (Not true to all of them). 
The first two for me were because I thought they were good looking and they treated me nicely. The ones that I was attracted to were nice to me, but also had really good personalities, which is a really attractive quality to me. They were supportive of what I wanted to do. They had jobs and houses and were at a stable point in their life. Not saying I’m looking for money, but I like the idea of being stable and not like I’m half in a relationship and half out. Having a family and all that jazz. Another reason was because I was 22 and a guy only 2 years older than me tried to rape me. (He luckily stopped when an officer drove by). It made me very wary of people my age and I sort of latched onto people older because of trauma. I believed they wouldn’t hurt me. 
So that could be some of the same feelings for you. Just wanting stability and a partner who is more established in their lives and career. I think you have to be the one that answers that question. What is it about older men that you’re attracted to?
My current boyfriend is only 3 years older than me. I love him, but sometimes I wish for the stability of an older guy. I feel like it’s less drama. But it’s whatever. Love is weird, and so is attraction.

You just like older men! Nothing  wrong with that and there doesn’t have to be a reason in my opinion . You’re both adults and if you’re both happy who cares! I prefer older men too. My husband  is only 6 years older but I’ve talked to men older by 10 plus years in the past .

My fiancé is 15 years older than me, I’m 25 and he’s 40. And honestly he’s one of the best people Iv ever met. He’s got his flaws of course but so do I. Age is definitely just a number, I was 18 when I met and got together with him. Also he’s the best sex Iv ever had that’s for sure 🤣 before we got together he was very concerned about the age difference and I reassured him that I wasn’t worried at all, he definitely looks younger than he is. Honestly he truly is my best friend, every day at work I can’t wait to see him when he picks me up ready to take us home. Couldn’t be more in love if I tried and it’s been 7 years 🥰🥰

Daddy issues discovered late in life at 40. I’m 42, he’s 58. And we totally have the daddy daughter Kink thing going on. He’s a strong powerful man, he has a powerful job, he dominates at his job, and he dominates in the bedroom. He is my ultimate fantasy. Before him I always dated younger men because I look half my age. My previous partner was actually 10 years younger than me, but I still worked younger than him because I got tired of people saying is that your brother is that your dad. So after the hot mess a relationship that I was with him, I said I’ve never touching a younger man ever again. My partner before the one I’m with now, 46 years older actually resemble my father. My father died when I was four. And I am still drawn to him, both are casual, because he resembles my dad so much. Been with my new dude 9 months. It’s casual still. It’s more animalistic with him. I noticed it the other day when I kiss the new guy I feel it in my loins. It is a physical thing we are on each other immediately. When I kissed my previous guy, I felt it in my soul. But I’m noticing little things like him using guilt (manipulation and control) toxic. But he knows he’s got me hooked with the whole daddy thing. They both know about each other. And are actually ok if I’m with both of them. ￼I think for you younger men want different things. They are still in that frat boy mind set. Older men are mature. Want a relationship and are more stable. Can keep a job. Don’t live in their moms basement and play video games all day. Are responsible. Respectable. Etc. I see no issue with it. You do you.

I personally do have “daddy issues” and have always liked older men, but probably never more than like 10 years older than me. I’m almost 30 and now I find men in their 40s attractive, but as long as they’re not old enough to be my dad. But the funny thing is my boyfriend is actually a few years younger than me 😆.
