Septum funk, how to clean piercing?

I got my septum pierced 2 weeks ago and the wonderful septum funk has set in. I know it’s normal for when your piercing is healing but my question that I can’t seem to find the answer on google is: Can I take my piercing out to clean it even though I just got it pierced less than 3 weeks ago? And if so will that make the smell go away?

no. don’t take it out to clean it. rinse it out when before you get out of the shower, use the saline spray to clean and do sea salt soaks. do not touch it, twist it, or take it out. and do not put ointment or alcohol on it either.

I wouldn’t take it out that soon. Follow whatever instructions your piercer gave you to clean it
