Confusing period

So during March my bf and I had protected sex (with condom) and he also pulled out before he came. My period only came a day late but this whole period was super light (never needed more than a panty liner) and is still going (day 10 on period). It’s been mostly brown - dark brown colored with random splashes of bright red a couple of mornings (it started with a little brown discharge and then did increase to darker brown blood). Also today and a couple of days ago I notice that my blood kind of looked a little mucusy when there was a clot.

I also want to mention that a couple of months ago i didn’t get my period for two months and then finally got it in February. I’m so confused if this is just my body clearing out all that extra blood from the 2 months worth of missing my period or what it could be. I usually have irregular periods and I had a period before where it was all brown blood but I think it was a bit heavier than this one. Anyone have any ideas?

I’m just kind of frustrated and confused bc every time I think it’s slowing down it seems to be kind of the same as the previous days.
