Turning 42 next month stupid to keep trying?

Only you know what you can handle. Emotionally each month can be a rollercoaster with the highs of thinking this is your month and then crashing to low when your period comes.  I'm 42 and still trying after a miscarriage last May at 42. Statistics are not the best - according to fertility specialist I have about  5% chance per cycle to conceive and even then  there is a greater chance of chromosomal abnormality which could lead to another miscarriage. Same statistics say that once you turn 43 chances drop to less than 1% a cycle. So will I stop trying at 43? I don't know. I may be too discouraged by then to continue. I am still trying though and hopeful that it can happen!  I remind myself every month that it only takes one sperm to fertilize an egg and as  long as we have a period ladies we can still get pregnant! Good luck to all you beautiful ladies- hoping we all get to hold our babies soon!
