Help?! :(

Question

So my last period was the 1st of August which puts me at about 7 weeks 5 days. I had my first scan today and they measured baby at only 5 weeks 1 day which is a big gap but said that for 5 weeks everything looks good but I don't understand how I could only be 5 weeks I'm very scared and confused about what to think has anyone had anything similar happen???

Ok don't mean to worry you but that's is what happened to me I thought I was 8 weeks and when I went to the doctor they told me 5 weeks and that everything looked good for 5 weeks. My next appointment the do another ultrasound and my baby was still at 5week measurement (turned out not to be a viable pregnancy and they had to induce a miscarriage for me) I hope this isnt the case for you and wish you luck. Thanks guys. I hope you're right! The scanning lady asked when my last period was before she started and calculated that I should be about 8 weeks and then took the scan and was pretty surprised. I just pray everything is ok :/

They measure how far along you are based on the sac and embryo/fetus size rather than when your last period was

Did you ask the doctor when you were there? That would be best. I know medically they say to start from the first day of last period but it's less for actual
