I stopped feeding my daughter and expressing 3 months ago, I didn’t make much milk but on and off my body is trying to make more milk, it has stopped and then started and then stopped n started. Now my boobs are killing me!! My daughter is now 5 months old so why am I starting to produce breast milk again?

It’s annoying because my boobs are so sore thats how I know there’s milk there. I don’t stimulate them or anything, is this a hormonal thing? My body seemed to hold onto fat whilst I was breastfeeding and still is ever since i stopped as well. Does anyone know why this is? They’re so sore 😩
