7 week old ??

Question

I think my 7 week old is coming down with a cold. Would you call the doctor or wait to see how she is? No fever

My LO had a cold at 5 weeks. We did not go to the dr Bc there is no treatment for a cold as it is usually viral. If there's no fever I woukd let it run it's course especially now Bc you don't want to take her to the dr and sit in a waiting room full of kids that are sick with the flu or other things. Just keep an eye on her and make sure she does not have a fever...

I would wait as there's nothing you can give them.

Things to try 
Bring into bathroom when you shower for steam to loosen the mucus. 
Cold humidifier at night. 
Try a book under baby's mattress to elevate head slightly.
If really plugged up try saline nose drops.

I took mine to doctor what I thought was a cold was chest infection the gave me pamol and said steamy bath room or spray up nose to clear I always did it before feed and then again jus before burp so he could go to sleep for a decent few hours my lo was 2 weeks old and now a pro at taking pamol sucks it out of syringe

There is no treatment for a cold.

Keep her nose clear and clean Dr's would just tell you to use Vicks at night a steamy bathroom for cough and bulb to keep nose clear. Even a fever can be viral and still can't do anything but add Tylenol. You can mix  formula in pedialyte instead of water to keep baby hydrated well. The hospital here uses pedialyte for mixing.

Doctor, not sure if your LO is congested - our girl has been with the cold weather and we've been using the "Little Noses" saline and that's helping us :)
