Silk presses

Hey ladies

I found a new hair stylist and I love her. I got a silk press and a trim and I want to keep it up but I don’t want to “heat train”/damage my natural curls. I’m wondering what will happen if I get silk presses back to back at a salon as opposed to doing it myself. My hair is pretty fragile from my last couple protective styles. I’m just wondering what the best course of action is for my hair rn.

So do I go to her and let her give me moisture treatments and trims regularly now? Or should I go back to braids and leave my hair alone
