I just signed another year on my lease. My boyfriend lives with me. He has been for the last 5-6 months. He doesn't pay anything, I don't ask him to because he has other bills he's paying because of his situation. He works but he's going through a custody battle for his son.

Anyway I'm in a 2 bedroom apartment, I have a roommate. There wouldn't be enough room for all three of us to sleep in just my room. He wants his son to have his own room which is understandable. So I know once he has 50/50 or 30/70 custody he's not going to want to stay.

...he's told me to my face before that if we don't live together he doesn't think we're gonna work out. Just simply because the distance would be hard. For the longest time he didn't even want to bring his toothbrush inside, just kept it in the van.

I'm having a hard time accepting the adjustment. I don't blame him for wanting his son to have his own room, he's 2. It makes me feel like we're not gonna work out, can anyone help shed light/opinions or something ..idk
