Big girls w. Short hair.

Can bigger girls as in on the more over weight side , pull off short hair. I'm 5'2 weigh 164 and I really want to cut my hair fairly short like up to my shoulders or a little bit lower maybe. I asked my grandma if she thought short hair makes bigger girls look chunkier and she said yes . What are your opinions. I have always had a very round face I hate it. But I've also really always have had long hair up to the start of my butt.
