My boyfriend and I recently got a chocolate lab puppy. A few years ago, I helped my family raise one so I knew what to expect. We talked at length about it before we brought her home because he has never raised a puppy or dealt with the difficulties of it. He seemed confident that we would be fine. For background info, he's a firefighter/paramedic and works 24 hour shifts every third day.

I call him today to let him know that my sister needs a ride to soccer tryouts so I'm going to take her after work. He sounds all pissed off and I'm like what's wrong..? He goes "did you wash Maple's bowls out last night??" All snappy and I'm like yeah..? And he goes "well it's all dirty" and I'm like yeah bc she goes outside and eats dirt and shit and then goes and drinks water...

We originally were taking her out the sliding door in our dining room to potty but it was tracking shit everywhere so we started going through the door in the garage. I guess she was whining at the sliding door so he went to the backdoor to take her out and she pees on the floor behind him.

I'm like well you have to pick her up bc she will wander and have an accident. Then he just gets all quiet and I'm like (just out of respect and extreme frustration, thinking he would say no) "do I need to look for another home for her?" And he goes "I don't know..." and I'm like what the fucking hell, are you serious?! And he's like "it's your dog, you do what you want. I don't want to talk to you right now." And gets off the phone...

Now I'm bawling at work bc I feel like he hates her... we talked through this at length before we got her and he was ok with everything... I don't know what to do.
