If you waited until baby was born to finalize name was it stressful?

I’ve been saying all along it’ll be fine if we don’t have a name until baby is born, but now at 37 weeks I’m starting to worry I’m going to be sitting in the hospital freaking out that I still don’t know what I want to name my baby! 😬

We had a couple of "major contenders" picked out, but didn't make a final decision or announcement until after the birth. I would say to at least have some ideas in mind. But you'll find a name. I have a friend who was told she was having a girl, announced the name,  then surprise came a boy!  Complete shock! They still chose a name before leaving the hospital. Sometimes it just comes to you.

I named all 3 of mine early on in pregnancy! I’m not even pregnant yet and already have both boy and girl names picked out 😂

We went in with a top 3 or 4. Neither time have we chosen the #1. Idk how people pick before meeting they babies, what if it just doesn't fit them?

You don't have to name your child at the hospital. Check laws for your country. Some are 30 days, others 60 days to register birth with a name.

We didn’t know our first child’s gender so we picked our top 3 names for each gender. We definitely had our #1 pick for each, but wanted to keep our options open. Once my husband announced her gender the name just came out. No stress at all.

I haven't had a baby yet but I am assuming that my husband and I will "just know" what her name is when we meet her just by looking at her....I know that sounds fanciful lol. We are nowhere near trying to conceive yet but we have already settled on the name Hannah.

I was in the hospital for a week and didn’t have a name til day 6.  We just couldn’t figure it out🤪🤷🏼‍♀️
