Good things are worth the wait

I just wanted to share my birth story to you all. I’ve been wanting a child since I was 21 however, I wanted to wait to gain some life experience before I rooted down. I really wanted to just know myself first as well. So fast forward 2 years ago, I met my beautiful partner and we found that we had the same goals and life plans. We decided to get pregnant after a year of being together. Our story is a bit different simply because technology hasn’t found a way for two women to impregnate each other yet 😄. So, we decided to try mosey baby(not sponsored) at home. We were able to use my best friend’s sperm. The first cycle didn’t work. I got discouraged a bit and just decided that if it happens, it happens. The second time around, we were able to get a few vials in and about 3 weeks later, I’m in the bathroom, anxious, nervous, excited, scared.. then I saw it. I took another test but, it confirmed what I was afraid to accept simply because it’s been such a journey and it’s always been something I’ve longed for. I kissed my beautiful girl and told her we’re going to be mommies(she was asleep). “Don’t play with me” she says. “No, look” I handed her the pee stick and we just both cried and laughed. We now have our beautiful daughter Samira Eden Gomez. She was born Jan 10, 2021 6lb 3 oz(3 weeks early). She makes us smile everyday. Some days are tricky but, we’re learning about each other.
