Does the vaccine cause infertility ?

I just got my first shot and a friend is telling me it apparently very well can cause infertility.
So now I’m freaking out as I want to have another baby in the future.
Can anyone refute this? 😫 I mean we don’t really know for sure since it’s so early; right?

There were women in the clinical trials that got pregnant afterwards. 
Tell your friend to get her information from valid sources, not anti-vax conspiracy sites. 
The vaccine can cause your immune system to flare up a response, which just like the virus, can bump your cycle time some. There is no evidence that it can cause infertility. 
Covid, on the other hand, is being investigated for causing infertility problems. This is because of some binding issues (that I won’t go into because it’s pretty technical) that may cause ovarian issue (with reserves and function). Other issues are being looked into, but take time. It certainly can cause vast male factor problems, as it is known to cause a huge testosterone drop which kills off supply. This takes months to regenerate.

There isn’t enough studies on it. It’s not been out long enough. Everyone’s like oh I got pregnant right after - okay but what about long term side effects. My specialist literally said that it seems to be misspoken at this time BUT it’s so new that she also cannot confirm NOR deny that it won’t affect fertility in the long run.

I got pregnant in between my first and second moderna vaccine. There isn’t much studies that say it causes infertility but I’m an example that yes you can get pregnant. 13 weeks today and baby is beyond healthy. Hope this helps

I’ve heard that rumor too, but as far as I know it’s just a myth. There hasn’t been a whole lot of studies done on the vaccine yet as it was just made recently, so it’s not to say it’s not true, but it’s not a known cause related to the vaccine

There are not enough studies to definitively say no but enough doctors/fertility doc/obs/immunological doctors who said scientifically it would not even make sense how it could effect fertility and that no there is no chance I will believe them. There has been some correlation between getting actual covid (not vaccine like catching it before vaccinated) and men having issues with sperm health but also not enough studies done. Your friend doesn't know and what they do.know is getting covid-especially some of the new strains-cause issues in pregnancy and pregnant women can have many more complications/hospitalization rate catching covid. There are also a lot of women who had healthy babies after having the vaccine as well as.women in the trials who have gotten pregnant sense. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned but I am 30 weeks pregnant and we want more kids and as soon as I can get it I am getting that shot. I have covid last june and it was awful...cant imagine it while pregnant. I trust my ob/fertility docs who have said the benefits greatly greatly outweight the maybe risks. Talk to doctors and do real research...don't listen to the app or friends/facebook/ig.
