45hours of labour 💖

I had my beautiful baby girl after 45 hours of hard labour, she was due on 21st Jan 2021 but decided to come early, it was my night before my birthday, I was chilling, relaxing, my husband made me lovely bowl of ramen. Nice dinner, nice atmosphere and then at 8.00pm on 9th jan i felt somewhat trickling and my water broke. Didnt panic I thought it was a little pee but when I went downstairs to the kitchen I felt the water gushing and couldn’t hold it so definitely my water broke, went upstairs to put a pad on and heard a plop and mucus plug was out!!!! I was so nervous at this point, had a little dinner again, rang the birth centre they asked me to come in, got checked and told me to come back after 24hrs and I had no contractions until 9am.Then I started having strong contractions, went to the hospital at 8pm 10th Jan, got in, midwife checked and I was only 2cm, yay!!! Seriously ? They broke any extra waters that was around babys head and I started getting more stronger contractions and at 5am 11th I was still 2cm, midwife decided to give me a hormonal drip and asked me to think about epidural, followed her advice and went for it, and by 11am 11th I was fully dilated ready to push. but then my temper was 38.2 and my baby girls head was more to left, they used forceps and one last push she was here!! It was all worth it!! We both were on antibiotics for few days and then we went home all happy!! Everything was worth it, every pain, every scar and every struggle 💖💖
