Sleeping

Help! My little one just turned one and he hasn’t been sleeping throughout the night like he usually does. He wakes at least 3-4 times throughout the night and cries till I get up and get him. I’ve tried to lay him back down and patting him. I e tried holding him to smooth him then put him back down and he bounces right back up. He does the same thing with nap time. He will wine in my arms and rub his eyes and face but will not sleep unless I physically go lay with him for a bit and then transfer him to his crib. He use to fall asleep by himself. I did take his paci away recently and I know that contributes to it but even before that he started this. (Took the paci cause he got a lot of his teeth at an early age and dentist said it’s starting to reposition his teeth) my husband works 4am-2pm so our bedtime is 8:30/9 . We live in a one bedroom apartment so we share a room. The cry it out method does not work all the time. I’ll let him cry and only go in to comfort him and lay him back down. It works sometimes but for the most part it doesn’t for us. Tips/advice please. My 1st son was such a breeze and my second is so much different lol help a tired momma TIA

My little guy was doing this a lot, too. I know it sounds crazy but what do you feed him before sleep? We were having a lot of cheese and once I cut that back he stopped having so many issues with sleep. No joke. He was upset and would just sit up and cry. A week without cheese and he is napping and sleeping through the night without issues.

What type of schedule do you have? Two naps is still suggested now and what works best for us is 3 hours for the first wake windows, 3.5 for second, and 4 hours before bed. Definitely less than 3 hours of nap time. Our first is no more than 90 min the second is 45-60

Am going through the same, daughter has always woken once or twice a night, but the last few has been 5+ and she howls 🥴 maybe it's the 12 month regression? Who knows, but it's hell 😩

Thank you to all who replied and I definitely tried/ will try every idea. ALSOOOO he had a fever the day after and it wasn’t going down so we took him in and turns out he had an ear infection. So I think that mixed with the regression was a combo for an exhausted momma
