Hi ladies for those of you who have breast-fed their toddlers (currently breastfeeding my daughter she’s two years and five months) how did it effect, if at all, trying to conceive? Does anybody know what prolactin levels right after birth versus prolactin levels when you’re breast-feeding a toddler are and the differences ttc? I keep hearing that prolactin inhibits ovulation. I’m not exclusively breastfeeding. i’m having a hard time finding literature on this. last year I did get pregnant but it resulted in a miscarriage and I was breast-feeding my daughter then, again not exclusively. but as I’m getting older (I’ll be 38 next week) I’m looking at all the preventative measures.. we want to have a second child if possible.
