USA hospitals: what do they give you at the hospital/what do I need to pack for me and baby?

Hospital bag must haves?

I think it depends on your hospital, but the hospital I delivered at provided nearly everything: several packs of diapers (mesh adult and baby), bottles, nipples, formula, onesie, baby hats, sleepsack swaddler, baby shampoo, baby brush and comb, rectal thermometer, oral syringes, heavy duty pads, Peri bottle, compression band, and probably more that I can't think of. 
Bring comfy clothes, hair ties, brush for you, your own pillow and blanket, entertainment, loooong phone charger, house shoes or slippers, snacks for anyone who will be with you, shampoo and body wash if you plan on bathing there... 
I also brought my own peri bottle with an extender nozzle because the hospital provided one that looked like a dawn dish detergent bottle. 😅

Depends on the hospital. Best to call and ask, but we had to bring almost nothing with us. Toiletries, comfort items (we brought our own pillows), technology/chargers, and clothes to go home. What we needed for baby and me to survive and recover was pretty much covered.

Talk to your hospital, but you usually only need to bring any personal things you might want. Comfy clothes, cute outfits for the baby, maybe your preference for hygienic items. The hospital will pretty much provide all the diapers, postpartum care, etc that you will need.

My hospital had everything I needed for me and baby, even adult diapers for me (like depends). 
Stuff I brought: going home outfits for us, pjs for me, socks, boppy, toiletries, baby nail clippers, pillow, entertainment (book/kindle, tablet, Roku stick), chargers, car seat, snacks. My husband was in charge of his own bag.

They gave me pads, mesh diapers, dermoplast can, squirt bottle and the pack of diapers we had opened there. I’m sure they will give you whatever you ask for! I
