I gave one of my guy friends since I was a kid a ride to the grocery store to drop him off there (only 4 minutes away) and the guy am talking to genuinely got mad that I didn’t tell him. before I pick my friend up I called him a few times and he didn’t answer so I just picked my friend up instead of having them waiting because I live across the street and took him to the store because I didn’t think too much of it or that was a big deal because I would expect him to do the same if I was stuck.

I’ve never been the type of person to be controlled or in the situation where it’s kind of like I have to ask permission like I’m a child. I have a therapist and if I told her this she would tell me this was a warning sign. Can I have any advice?

I do understand where he’s coming from because he doesn’t feel comfortable but he has plenty of female friends since he was younger and I trust him. I would never tell him to stay on the phone with me the whole time because I’m not a controlling person
