How long did your child use a stroller?

Question

I’m thinking about buying a new stroller because mine doesn’t fold up easily and it’s annoying. However idk if I should keep the old one for use with another child or sell it. So how old was your child when you stopped putting them in a stroller or when they didn’t want to stay in a stroller?? My daughter is 9 months old and we don’t plan on having another one for 1-2 years. So she’ll probably be around 3 when the next one comes.

Around 4 but they didn’t necessarily stay in it the whole time.  It was a great bag/snack holder for long walks and gave them a place to rest when tired or got hurt.  So like, they might only spend a half hour-hour in it during a 4 hour zoo trip but it was totally worth bringing.

Depends on where we’re going. Around the neighborhood? My 20m old uses a radio flyer trike that has a push handle for the parent. Dr’s office? Definitely a stroller, since I can put a cover on it. Covid and all.

I actually stopped using a stroller shortly after they learned to walk. If they got tired I’d carry them. They’re well-mannered so they never run off. I’ve seen way too many lazy parents sit their 5 or 6 year old in a stroller and I was not about to be that parent.

Probably depends on how often you go out. My family goes out every night to walk for 30-60 minutes. My kids are 4.5 and 2 and they still use the stroller occasionally. Both of them especially hop in during cold weather because we have blankets to warm them up, and on days when they were out running around a lot at daycare and are a little tired. Many days they don’t use it. We haven’t taken it to the store since around the baby’s first birthday.

My son used his stroller very often until just after 2 years old.  Then he started refusing naps and we started trying different options for nap time.  As a result he didn’t want to be confined to the stroller, he preferred to walk(or be carried when too tired).  He is now just over 2.5.  We haven’t used the stroller for a few months.  The last time was with a lot of protest.  We might consider using it if we took a trip or had a very long day out.  But other than that, the stroller just sits folded up.  
We have a friend that has an almost 3.5 year old and uses the stroller regularly still.

When my son starts to get better at walking we’ll have his backpack and we’ll have his stroller for when he’s tired. For now we use his stroller to walk around the mall. For groceries we just put him in the basket since he can sit up. He’ll be thirteen months tomorrow

I like long walks for own health so I use a stroller for my toddler.
But I just use it for long walks, she walks everywhere else.

My daughter is 3.5 and still rides in the stroller often when she gets tired or just feels like relaxing or eating her snacks and it’s nice to have if we’re out and she’s not listening well. One of my nephews liked the stroller until he was like 6 for when he got tired lol. Every kid is different

My son still occasionally rides in the stroller for long walks on rocky terrain. He’s almost 3. 
We’ve started using a wagon for long neighborhood walks or outings like the zoo. 
Until kids are like 5-6 I feel like they will still at some point need the option to rest in something like a wagon.
