Haunting me every min
In my family tradition having a boy baby is a big deal and after my first child who is a girl, I delivered a baby boy last year. He is five months old now. My mom is staying with me temporarily taking care of baby while I work. There was one time during my 3month pp when we were casually talking about my mom’s mom (my grandmother) and my grandmother’s sisters on how they were able to deliver back to back and manage 4-6+ children in those days. During that conversation, my mom mentioned her mother and her mother’s sisters have originally had baby boy as their first child and they were so big and beautiful babies, but they didn’t survive and died right around an year after birth. Since I heard that I have been terribly shaken inside being over protective of my baby and I am just crying inside and praying that my baby should live a long life. How do I get over this feeling? I am just dying inside, being fearful of what may happen. I am being just too restless and I just want my baby to grow soon and go past one year. I know it might sound crazy, but I just feel like my mom shouldn’t have shared that being empathetic to my feelings as a postpartum mom.
