My son gets this frequently I’m not sure if it’s herpes or some type of dermatitis wondering if anyone has experienced this with their child

Looks like he licks his lips too much? I'd try some chap stick that maybe doesn't taste too great. Always worth asking the doctor to be safe though

I would ask his doctor about it. It looks like the rash my nephew got from sucking on his pacifier. But it could be a number of things.

It’s chapped from slobber or sucking on it
