Lotion for newborn?

Any of you putting lotion on your newborn? My LO is almost 2 weeks and her skin is very dry! Not cracking just really peely . I remember the nurses saying no lotion but I can’t find anything online saying when they can just articles saying use a gentle baby lotion or a&d

My daughters dermatologist (this was in 2018) said no lotions or creams until 6 weeks. I do occasionally use aquaphor or Vaseline though for newborns 😬

I’ve been using baby Vaseline. My son peeling sooo much. It helps some.
