My rainbow baby girl is here! 🥰

Birth story: VBAC in the car!

I was scheduled for induction 4/22 so I had a NST on the 15th at 2:30pm. I woke up that morning to the strangest left hip pain and some cramping. By noon the cramping was contractions but they were spaced out. When I got to my appointment the monitor picked up on them and they asked if I would like to be checked for dilation. I was only 1cm & 20% effaced so they discharged me at 4 pm. I got home 38 minutes later and contractions got to the 5:1:1 real quick but I decided to stay home through them until 6:40 when I could no longer labor at home. When I got close to the hospital my water broke in the car and I could feel baby’s head crowning! I was still 3 minutes away from hospital and somehow a wrong turn happened (on to a one way street) that actually led to the back of hospital where the ambulances are parked! There were 3 paramedics on break and my MIL flagged them down. Out came baby’s head! And me screaming out the car the baby is coming out! They went running to get me out of the car. Had one leg out one in and the rest of baby was out and I was rushed up to L&D! Baby girl weighted 5 lbs 11 oz 18” long at 7:20pm!
