Old wives tales! Anterior placenta?

Question

So today i had my first ultrasound at 9 weeks. Since i am dying to know the grnder of the baby, i’m wondering if the placental position theory has any truth to it? I was told it was in the middle but more inclined to the right which according to the ramzi theory means boy, but then i was reading that if you have an anterior placenta it is more likely a girl. 
What do you girls think?

Anterior placenta (or any placenta placement for that fact) just has to do with where the fertilized egg implants and absolutely nothing to do with fetal gender.

I am actually kind of hoping for boy, so i was beginning to feel a little bit disappointed that the anterior placenta meant it was most likely a girl. Thank you all for your responses ❤️
