Cloth diapers at the laundromat?

Has anyone done cloth diapering in an apartment with no washing machine? My biggest reason for considering cloth diapering is cost and then also the eco friendly aspect. The laundromat is about a mile away, they also offer a pickup service for $1.25 a pound.
How would the cost of going to the laundromat all the time compare to the cost of disposables? Would you trust a laundry service to wash your diapers?

I think the laundromat would still be cheaper than disposables- esp if you’re doing other laundry there anyway. Following and curious to see if anyone has any intel about diaper services. I assumed (not based on research lol) that they must use some heavy duty chemical cleaners to do diapers commercially, so I never looked into that aspect- but I’m curious if there’s any truth to that or not.

We used a service for our first kid, since we were in an apartment and had the same issue, plus I didn't know that much about what I would need to get started, so it helped to have someone set me up with everything. Later, we moved to an area where we couldn't get a service, but we did have our own washer/dryer, and i was way more confident with everything by then. Still cheaper than disposables!!

Could you have a portable washing machine in your apartment that hooks up to the sink? Thats what we do and it works great.

Laundry mat is still cheaper than disposables. There are also mini plug in washers online that do the trick!

You could also likely wash some things by hand at home to save on trips to the laundromat.
