Can you BF and get rid of the Pacifier at the same time?

My son is 16 months old. We want to get rid of the Pacifier, but he still breastfeeds occasionally. Is it possible to still breastfeed while trying to get rid of the Pacifier? Also, what are some ways you were able to toss it?

Yes, we just cold turkey took it away. We let her keep the little stuffed animal that was connected to the paci clip though and that’s been her wingman ever since..

My 20 month old still has his pacifier overnight because I will eventually use it to help wean him from the breast.  Right now, I usually slip the pacifier in as I take the nipple out so he stays asleep.  I can’t keep him on the breast for lengthy periods of time because I get too sore (also 18w pregnant)

At 16months u would just no longer allow it to be an option. Just eliminate it from his routine and he will adjust in a day or Two.

For us, the paci was only ever for sleep. Now we cosleep, and babe is on the boob all night anyway, no need for the paci.
