Gender disappointment prevention
So with our first, I was DEVASTATED when I found out we were having a boy. Like - I would literally cry anytime I thought about it for like three weeks afterwards.
So to avoid this, this time I had our tech “introduce us” to our baby by their name instead of saying it’s a boy or a girl. We gave her both names and once she was sure of the gender, she introduced us.
Like think about it. You meet a George on the street - youre not disappointed that george is a boy right? Or that Leslie is a girl? It’s just George and Leslie.
So that was my concept this time around. And even though in my heart, I desperately wanted a little girl because I know this will be our last, this time when I cried they were tears of joy as we were introduced to our little boy.
Try it out if you’re worried!
