Me and my step son had a pretty big fight today. Idk what was going on with him but he had an attitude for some reason. I have been in this boys life since he was 2 and he's pretty much my son. His mom has recently tried to be in his life again for the first time in 14 years. He didn't do his chores and he was trying to go see friends and I told him he couldn't because he didn't do chores. We ended up fighting over it and he said "Maybe ill just go live with my real mom!" That broke me. I have been in this child's life for YEARS! I didn't even say anything to him. I just went in my bedroom and cried. I hear someone at my door and a note slips under it. I open it and it said "I'm sorry mommy. I love you". He ran back to his room. Since he ran back to his room I'm assuming he still wants some space. Should I wait until in the morning to talk to him so he can have space.
