What does Laparoscopy recovery look like?

How do you feel afterwards? How long is your recovery? How long after should you wait to begin ttc? I’m a full time nanny. I typically work 50-55 hours a week taking care of a one and three-year-old. Just wondering if I do end up getting one, if I’ll be able to go back to work soon after.

The first one I had, I was back to physical hard work cleaning brand new houses that just got built. 4 days after the procedure. The last one I got I had to take off 4 weeks cause of the pain and bloating. But everyone is different. It also depends on what they need to do as well.

You will definitely need time off. I was just lying around for a few days, couldn’t really stand up straight. I felt really uncomfortable more than in severe pain. I felt pretty good after a week, but was in pain riding in the car. I had really bad lower back pain. By day 9 I felt pretty normal.

I went to work 2 days after my procedure. My brain wasn't quite ready for it though (probably the anesthesia). I should've given myself at least 4 days. But I work in a high volume retail pharmacy. You'd be tired going right back to being a nanny, but it could be done.
