Hi, I’m trying to figure out if there is something seriously wrong with me & if I need a doctor, or if I shouldn’t worry...NO TIME is too late or early to respond to me!!

I’ve been breastfeeding for over 21 months now. I’m also 17 weeks pregnant. As of February (temporary court order) I’m now only with my 21 month old for one week on, one week off. It’s caused me great pain as far as breastfeeding goes! I used to pump when I didn’t have her but it hurts & is very depressing to do, so now I only relieve my breast’s 7 days on 7 days off, with the exception of hand expressing in the shower to relieve some pain.

As of more than a week ago, I noticed 1 nipple (right breast) drains milk from 3 different places, also 3 very different colors. The top outside right pores milk is completely bright white. The middle pores milk is caramel colored. But the bottom inside pore the milk is DARK brown!! Possibly like old dried blood color.

It was a late shower when I first discovered this & I was extremely sick at the time (had taken sleep meds prior to shower) so I got out & completely forgot. Almost 24 hours later when about to shower again I remembered what I saw the night before, I hand expressed again & realized nothing had changed. So of course, I hopped straight on Google to figure out why. I have been breastfeeding almost 2 years & I’ve never seen anything like this before.

What I had saw & immediately suspected was the issue is RPS (rusty pipe syndrome)....problem with that diagnosis is I keep reading it’s pretty normal right before & after birth. Clearly, I’m nowhere near either of those with either pregnancy. Also I read it should clear up on its own in a week....

Well, it has not. Not whatsoever. Do I need to go see a doctor? Do you know what this could be if not RPS? Is RPS possible after breastfeeding for 21 months & only 4 months pregnant?
