Drying your clothes in the dryer

So growing up my mom always hung our clothes to dry, she only ever used the dryer for bedding and towels. She always told me the dryer will ruin your clothes so I never dry my clothes either, I hang everything except for the towels and linens socks and underwear. But it is so much work to hang everything. Especially when you have 2 kids and so so much laundry to do every weekend.

Who here hangs their clothes to dry? Who throws them in the dryer? Do you throw everything in the dryer minus the stuff that says not to? If so has it ruined your clothes? Does everything shrink?

I’m tempted to toss everything into the dryer but I’m scared haha.
