Feeling overwhelmed- best resources/info to start?

Ashley

So in January it was discovered that I had a large ovarian mass that needed to be surgically removed. This happened last week and they ended up having to remove my left ovary with it. I have a UU with a rudimentary horn on the right side so while my right ovary looks great I was told it would be nearly impossible for us to conceive naturally now without the left ovary/tube (we successfully conceived 5 years ago on our own). We’re now looking at IVF and I feel like there is just so much to learn, so many acronyms, etc. I’m getting overwhelmed. I did meet with an RE back in February- my Dr originally thought I had 2 masses that jeopardized both ovaries so we were considering doing IVF before surgery as a precaution. Based on the RE’s opinion that there was only one mass affecting the left we held off on doing anything at that time. Now that we know where things stand I’m ready to just move forward with a plan but I’m feel super overwhelmed. Any good resources (websites, blogs) that helped you navigate all this and learn the ins/outs? Anything you wish you’d known in the beginning? I’d like to be pretty knowledgeable before we see the RE again so that I know what to ask.
