At what age would/did you feel comfortable leaving your child (only for a few seconds and in shallow water) in the bath alone?

Please no hate. I'm curious to see others responses to this. 
PS. Is there an actual recommended age you should wait before leaving a child alone in the bath? If only for a few seconds to grab something and in shallow water?

Our son is almost 3 and if I forget to grab a washcloth, I feel okay going to grab one. It’s just outside the bathroom door and I engaged in conversation with him the whole time so I know his head is up since he’s talking.

My son is 21m and sometimes I’ll leave the bathroom for a second to grab a towel or something I forgot for bath time. I do not leave for long and I make sure he’s sitting down playing with toys.

Maybe it’s different because we have a shower stall but my 3 year old will go in and do his thing, we open the door and wash him, then he goes back to playing and tells us when he’s done. If it were a normal bath tub we’d be beside him. My nephew is 4 and this past year slipped in the tub and busted his chin open on the side of the tub. Our shower stall has a very rough textured surface that isn’t slippery at all.

I have left my 4 y/o for a moment to get a towel or attend to the laundry. My concern at his age is also about slip/fall while getting out.

I don’t leave my almost 2 year old alone in the bathtub at all. It only takes a split second for something to go wrong

Only if they knew how to swim! You can drown in literally a bottle cap full of water. ￼
