It hurt me toTake deep breaths for about 3-4 days because of these weird cramps and I had to sleep kind of propped up in a sitting position. I agree stool softenener helps. I’m 5 days post retrieval and need the stool softener stool! I don’t think I could have gone to work the next day but I definitely would feel good enough to go now.
Egg retrieval 4/28
Got 15 eggs, 14 Fertilize, tranfer is Monday morning, after my Procedure I felt ok but after everything wore off, I was in alot of pain, my discharge papers said you can go back to normal and work after 24 hours, this is day 3 and I'm still sore, even Breathing makes my stomach sore, will this go away in time for Monday. Everything is moving along fast even the nite of retrieval I had to take the shot & I really didn't want to because I was in pain already, my pain is about a 4 if I had to number it, is that normal still on day 3?

Had the same issues! I was in disbelief thinking how people go back to work the next day. Take it easy and listen to your body. Stay ultra hydrated and take a stool softener if you aren’t already. I am an avid winter sports enthusiast and it took me about 6 weeks to get back to normal performance on the mountain. I was so sore inside. Everything I read from people made me worry that something must be wrong with me or that i had ohss. I didnt end up having it, recovery just took longer then expected. Hope you feel better!

I was thinking the same thing but it is getting better each day, I guess we just heal slower/different or something lol.
