Ivf questions
So I have a few questions for those that went to IVF.
What does the process look like? Do you have to have repeat test like an hsg, ect? Do you have consults before starting the process? Do they sit you down and say ok this is what you are paying and what you are paying for before starting a cycle? Even medication cost? Also if you have an infertility coordinator is she the one who organizes and helps you through ivf or were you referred to some where else (so far she has done all of my infertility and iui cycles)? Also if you have insurance that covers ivf did it cover everything? What did it not cover?
Thanks in advance. Sorry I know its alot of questions but I have no idea and want to be prepared. If I get another negative on Monday that is what we are probably moving on to. I'm calling my clinic Monday to discuss this with my infertility coordinator. I have insurance that covers infertility and 3 rounds of ivf per lifetime so it's not all out pocket.
Note to add before I get a ton of questions: we have been trying for 3.5 years. I had an hsg 3 Februarys ago and loads of bloodwork throughout the last 3.5 years. I am on progesterone supplements past 3dpo. I have done 4 rounds of clomid and 3 rounds of iui. I have ovulation issues. I don't ovulate without medication. We also have severe male factor that is helped greatly by a urologist with medication. We are looking at moving forward because we are tired of wasting time and money.
