I have a baby chicken hatching! It’s chirping away in the egg

Added: okay so this can take him anywhere from 12-24 hours to finish hatching, I don’t sit and watch because that makes me go mad but I will check him through the day and update as I go if I see anything new ♥️ just keep checking back

4 hours later all that has changed is that his chirps are louder and he responds to my voice. He talks back lol

Just another update for those of you invested. He is LOUD, and that means he’s strong.

He’s chipped more at his egg so there’s a hole and I can see his beak. He’s making drinking motions with his beak. That means it’s still gonna be a little while.

He hatched!

He hatched early and that means he’s alone. They fail to thrive if they’re alone so I am going to be spending a lot of time with him until his sibling hatches and he has a friend
