2y old and pets dying...

Hi fellow parents!

Being an adult sometimes leaves you the horrible job of euthanizing pets when time has come. Today is such a day 😔

My daughter who just turned two a month ago doesn't interact much with our bun (She gets stressed easily and we try to shelter her from the wildness of a 2y old). She does know where she lives and occasionally gives her snacks.

How do I explain to her that the bun died and isn't here no more? I don't want to lie to her but I also don't want to make her scared 🤔

Any experience and tips are welcome.
