How to get my 1 year old to stop hitting/throwing things at me?

My daughter is 14 months and has decided to only throw fits when I get home from work but is a perfect angel with everyone else. And she thinks it’s funny to throw toys at my head and hit me when she gets upset. 
I’ve tried EVERYTHING and its only getting worse. She knows it’s naughty but does it anyway.  
Any advice please?

Immediate “bad thing” after doing it. (Time out, toy away etc). After 5 minutes, return them to playing and praise the “good play.” (Ie: not throwing shit at people.) Repeat 10000000000x.

There is a series of books called “good behavior” they addressed different issues like hitting, kicking, biting, etc. I first came across them while working at a daycare then later on were recommended to me by my pediatrician when my daughter started to bite. They are not magic, but they help tremendously. 
Try to always be consistent with your response. If you get angry one time but ignore it the next, it won’t help much. But at the same time do not keep repeating an action that doesn’t yield any results. Set a clear boundary with your kid so they can understand that what they did is wrong and it has some repercussions. Action/consequences. 
Have another adult speak to your child. Someone who isn’t always around is bound to throw the kid off. They don’t know what they can get away with so they will be willing to listen. 
Time out/in. While a child is that small, you don’t want to set a time out that’s too long. But it’s important they know why they are being put on time out. Alternatively, when you see they are starting to get to the point of throwing or hitting, redirect their attention “time in” to another activity. 
Pay attention to your child’s daily activities. What is causing this behavior? Is it stress? Is it anger? Is the child picking up the action from somewhere else? Be that tv, media or another person? Identifying cause can lead to a more direct result. 
Be patient. You won’t get a magic fit that will fix the issue right away. Parenthood is mostly trial and error.

Avoid saying the word no unless she’s putting herself at risk. Try to distract her rather than putting more attention on it. Try ignoring it if you can. Just spoke to my doctor about this today.
