Doula or Not?

Hi all, I am a first time mom, and have heard of the amazing benefits of having a doula in the delivery room with you. I was wondering what other people are thinking about for their births and/or what they’ve heard about using a doula. My husband is quite an anxious person, so I could see having a doula in there will help me a lot and hopefully help calm his nerves as well. All thoughts are welcome! Thank you so much for any advice! 💕

I personally didn’t see a need, my husband was a rockstar and we had my mom on back up if he needed help. I could totally see the benefit if you were alone or had a situation where you think even your husband could benefit.

I think it would have been extremely beneficial to me as my husband was essentially useless 😂
I played around with the idea of getting one but the cost was just to great for us and it "hurt my husband's feelings" 😒

Are you planning on getting an epidural? I think that really determines it. I had an epidural and felt absolutely no need for a doula.
