How would you compare gas pain while pregnant to contractions?

I’m 33 weeks and have had horrible gas pain today, it’s very sharp but followed directly by gas so I’m sure that’s what it is. How does the pain compare to contractions during labor? It’s pretty bad!

Contractions come and go bad feel lower, like period cramps. The start of soft, increase a lot, then start to soften. Gas cramps are just stabbing and painful until you pass the gas. Try childs pose as best as you can or lie on your sides in a semi fetal position. Or squats?

Idk my gas pains are always sharp and stabbing. Contractions were dull and achy and felt like a lot of pressure.

I would have loved it if my contractions felt like gas pains! I labored SO FAST they were insanely  painful

It's pretty similar, like the worst gas pains you can imagine/ever had
