Absolutely 💯 for me.  I had two kids already and know how anxious I am about sleep.  Then, my third was a preemie.  The owlet is the only reason I slept!! 
I never had false red alarms, just occasional sock placement alarms, usually when I needed to go a size up on a sock or his feet were really sweaty and he was moving around a lot.  
It definitely didn’t cause me excess anxiety, only eased it.  I’ll definitely be using it again with this next baby.

Ours saved our daughter her 3rd night home. She quit breathing in her sleep and had to be rushed to er the nurse saw it on still and said did that go off and was like it saved her.

Yes! My son was premature and had some breathing troubles so when we were sent home from the nicu we made sure to have one! 
The alarm on the base is LOUD let me tell you. It also tracks sleep patterns and records pulse ox 24/7 
Only con for me is that the battery doesn’t last too long!

I’ve heard that the actual monitor on it is terrible. My friend got rid of hers for that reason. We have the Nanit and absolutely love it. We hang out in our back yard in the evenings a lot during the summer and we love that it doesn’t have a “range” and we can use it anywhere. I was out of town for a funeral a while back and I was able to check in on her whenever she was in her crib and got all of the notifications alongside my husband. You can also set it up so that grandparents have access. Its very secure and the quality is great for the price. 
It also can have breathing bands or sacs which alert you if the baby stops breathing or is laboured in breathing and they just added measurement  sheets where you can get height measurements and growth insights

I felt like it was worth it for peace of mind. I have friends who strongly disagree based on their experience though. It’s kind of a toss up, I think.
My husband literally didn’t sleep in the hospital or when we first brought our son home until we got an Owlet. We did get a couple alarms in the first month or so that his heart rate was too low or too high, and it turned off when we picked him up. Knowing we had that monitor was the only way we could sleep at all between feeds, and I’ll definitely be using it again for the next baby.

I got mine as a gift. I find that my baby is already asleep before I remember to put it on and I never want to do anything to wake him up lol. But it works great and if your not as forgetful as me I would TOTALLY recommend it.
